The contract signed by Schott in 1938 with the US Army made him cooperate closely in a research on the safety of the technicians and personnel assigned to the flight deck of the aircraft carriers of the U.S. Navy. Schott has been involved in this project: Design of perceptible back so that each category of deck personnel is visible and identifiable during manoeuvers.
At the end of 40’s, Schott adapted the idea of a vivid coloured back to avoid hunting accidents in the forests of Montana, Alaska and North Carolina. This vivid back concept made the hunters localizable at 10 kilometers.
Each piece of the collection has a vivid color back. This signature became the brand image of the Schott Limited Edition.
