Eco-socio-design
Eco-Socio-Design is an innovative approach that not only integrates the principles of eco-design to reduce environmental impact, but also goes beyond this by considering social and human aspects in product design. Schott NYC is currently participating in a project to study and implement eco-socio-design in the fashion sector, and we will present the results to you in the coming months. Our goal is to strengthen the knowledge of our products, to measure and reduce their environmental and social impacts. By adopting this approach, we want to contribute to building a world where sustainability and social well-being are at the heart of innovation and progress.

02.
Traceability
The traceability of our products is at the heart of our Green Schott program. It allows us to guarantee the origin of our supply, to control the consideration of social and environmental standards among our suppliers. 100% of our tanneries are traced and audited. We have introduced a digital passport for each product, accessible via a QR code on the composition label. This passport gives you visibility on the origin of the product. Our goal, in one year, is to extend traceability to all of our products up to rank 3, and to inform you about their environmental footprint.

Our circular commitments
Relife: giving a second life to our defective products. Relife is an initiative born from our desire to minimize the environmental impact associated with the manufacture of new products, by transforming our defective products into a new resource. We have given a second life to our defective products by recycling them into yarn: 4 tons of yarn come from this recycling which was carried out in France. Upcycling: promoting creativity and encouraging a more environmentally friendly lifestyle. Our defective products that cannot be integrated into a recycling circuit, or that have already had a first life are a wealth. We see them as an opportunity to create something new and valuable. With our upcycling projects, we support artisans and creators who seek to transform recovered materials into unique and innovative products.
