First appearing in the 1940s, this “delivery jacket” takes its name from truck drivers who valued its short cut and durability during long days on the road. It hits at the hips: a practical cut designed for freedom of movement and rooted in workwear.
We’ve reworked this classic with details true to its origins: a long central zippered front, an open collar, pockets edged with topstitched piping and a chest zip pocket with a chain pull. Adjustment tabs on either side of the back let you fine-tune the fit.
The leather tells its own story. Made from teacore cowhide and then hand-distressed, the SP540 has a natural patina from the start that will deepen over time. It already has the character of a jacket shaped by miles, music and memories, even though its story with you is just beginning.
This style draws inspiration from a classic square-pocket jacket that appeared in the 1950s.
